Job Description:
We are a leading multinational financial firm. We are currently seeking a candidate of high calibre to join our Equity Analysis team in Japan as a Research Associate (Junior Analyst).

- Provide timely, high-quality, in-depth analysis to enhance the performance of our clients' equity portfolios.
- Use economic market, industry and company studies to anticipate developments that will affect values of our client’s stocks.
- Analyze company financial data, industry trends and macroeconomics factors; forecast earnings and stock prices
- Write research reports and updates on companies and industries
- Make independent buy and sell recommendations.
- Work closely with our Equity Salespeople and Traders, plus Investment Banking Professionals, Clients and Institutional Investors.

Experience / Skill Requirements:
• A strong academic background in a financial discipline (Economics strongly preferred)
• An MBA or CFA Level 1 qualification is an advantage
• Industry work experience of some type in a sector that we cover would be viewed favourably
• Fluency in English and Japanese language, verbal and written
• Skills in another Asian language a plus
• Strong analytical, quantitative and accounting skills
• Proficient, effective and developed communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A keen eye for detail
• Commitment and a flexible work ethic
• Strong teamwork initiative, enthusiasm and motivation
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• A strong code of personal ethics
